What is FocalPoint Coaching?

FocalPoint was founded more than 20 years ago with one simple mission: to help business owners and leaders achieve clarity, growth, and balance. Built on the principles and teachings of Brian Tracy, it has grown into a global network of business coaches serving thousands of companies worldwide.

At its heart, FocalPoint is about helping people and businesses reach their potential. That alignment is what drew me in — and it’s why I’ve stayed for nearly two decades.

Rich — FocalPoint Coach

In 2008, I joined FocalPoint as a certified business coach. From day one, I knew I had found the right platform to bring my passion for coaching to life.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of:

• Coaching leaders across dozens of industries and countries.
• Winning the Brian Tracy Award for Sales Excellence twice.
• Earning the Campbell Fraser Coaching Excellence Award twice.
• Receiving Coaching Practice of the Year six times.
• Training and mentoring more than 300 FocalPoint coaches.

What I love most, though, isn’t the awards. It’s seeing a client break through a barrier, hit a milestone they once thought was out of reach, and discover that business can be both more successful and less stressful.

Rich — FocalPoint Area Representative

In 2016, I was invited to take on another role with FocalPoint: Area Representative. This role focuses on recruiting, training, and supporting new coaches — helping them build thriving practices and make an impact in their own communities.

In Oregon, where I serve as AR, I’ve been able to guide coaches not just in building businesses, but in building confidence, momentum, and clarity. For me, it’s about multiplying impact: every coach I help succeed goes on to support dozens of clients, and that ripple effect is powerful.

FocalPoint has been a cornerstone of my professional life for 18 years. It has given me a platform to serve business owners directly and to mentor fellow coaches who carry the mission forward.
